Touch Compass announces new Board of Trustees!

Introducing the new Touch Compass Board of Trustees!Introducing the new Touch Compass Board of Trustees!

Tē tōia, tē haumatia - Nothing can be achieved without a plan, people, and way of doing things.

We're beyond proud to announce a fantastic group of experts to govern the future of Touch Compass as our new Board of Trustees.

We are delighted to share that Touch Compass has four new trustees: Allie Fitzgerald, Andrew McMillan, Caroline Tate and Pati Umaga QSM.

Allie, Andrew, Caroline and Pati bring a mix of complementary skills, insight and experience to the board spanning the arts, dance and music, disability, education, finance and funding, law, governance, senior leadership, and Pasifika. They add strongly to the skills and experience of the current board but also bring new perspectives. Strengthening the diversity and capability of the board has been a key goal and we're happy to say we are achieving that with these appointments.

What would we like to see by the end of 2024? The delivery of strong new artistic programmes and performances, an expanded education & outreach programme, and more secure, diversified funding, among other things. We’d also like to see broader and deeper engagement with both existing and new audiences, participants, and communities. The wero for all trustees is to facilitate a strong 3 years for Touch Compass and help build for the future. No pressure!

Nau mai, haere mai Allie, Andrew, Caroline and Pati. Welcome to Touch Compass! Thank you for your passion and enthusiasm to get involved and support us. It’s fantastic to have you on board. We look forward to working with you.
