Join Touch Compass to hear from six heralded and cutting-edge leaders in theatre and performing arts in our free #a11yArts: International Creative Leadership Series, happening this November and December.
We have pulled together some of the most innovative minds in disability arts to hear about their lives, their careers, their successes and their visions for the future. These engaging webinars will explore topics that will expand your knowledge and understanding of the intersectionality of disability and performance, self-identification, climate, touring and post-Covid arts world. They will introduce you to new and exciting frontiers of disability and performing arts, and offer an amazing opportunity to meet these change-makers in a webinar setting.
**All webinars will be New Zealand Sign Language interpreted.**

Thursday 2 December - Joshua Pether (Australia), Performance Artist: Incorporating Indigeneity & Disability into Performance Art
Friday 3 December - Patty Berne (United States), Co-Founder/Director Sins Invalid: Disability Justice & Climate Chaos in Performing Arts
Tuesday 7 December - Jeremy Smith (Australia), Board Member Chamber of Arts & Culture WA: Post-Covid Implications for Creating & Producing Disability Art
The format of each webinar will vary - some speakers will be joined to kōrero with one of Touch Compass's Artistic Direction Panel - Rodney Bell, Suzanne Cowan or Lusi Faiva; some speakers will present short pieces of work; some will include members of their organisation for their unique perspectives. Each webinar will dedicate significant time for questions and conversation.
